Can't afford the real thing just yet so . . I like to fly old, slow aircraft in detailed environments with photographic textures and realistic scenery. Low and slow someone said. I like the motto.
VFR rules OK. Since I live in the UK, most of my attention is on UK scenery. I fly with Horizon Generation X V2, MS FSX (long may it live). I collect scenery and, inspired by other peoples work, have started to produce my own.
Hardware
It has served me well these last four years. A duel core Athelon 64 on an NVIDIA SLI motherboard with 2GB of main memory and 2 760GT 256MB Nvidia cards. I run three screens but rarely use all three when flying. My hardware isn't really up to it and I have got used to using TrackIR. It's a great set up for developing scenery. I park all the tools I am using on the side screens. Despite the feeble spec, I get good frame rates, well except when I fly around VFR London. It is awesome at less than 30 mph flying in a straight line.
